HVAC/REFRIGERATION

Are you a dynamic and energetic individual? BCIT is looking for a regular (permanent), full-time Instructor to join the HVAC/Refrigeration Group.

Programs and courses that the successful candidate would prepare and deliver include:

• Full-time training in Entry Level for those wanting to enter the Refrigeration Mechanic trade
• All levels of the Refrigeration Mechanic Apprenticeship
• Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration programs
• Part-time studies courses including CFC Emissions in Refrigeration and Basic Refrigeration Systems

The department also offers training and support in developing teaching skills. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum five years’ recent work experience as a journeyperson in the HVAC/Refrigeration field
• Commercial Refrigeration BC Trades Qualification with Inter Provincial seal
• Previous supervisory experience with the ability to teach the curriculum
• Excellent written, oral communication, interpersonal skills and a desire to share knowledge with others
• High standard of technical excellence, experience with electronic control systems preferred
• Innovative with a provide track record in the industry
• Enjoy teamwork in a dynamic and exciting environment
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred

START DATE: ASAP

SALARY RANGE: $57,496 to $85,406 per annum (Placement based on education and experience)
