The successful candidate will be working closely with our Senior Engineers on numerous projects and conducting business with current and prospective new clients.

M & E is an Employee owned company and located in the City of Vaughan, north of Toronto, with its principals and staff who have practiced Engineering in Ontario for over 30 years. In the past 5 years we have grown by over 50% with the same growth projected over the next 5 years. M & E will be opening new office locations and will require qualified Engineers to complete this expansion.

M & E specializes in new and retrofit projects ranging in size from $50,000 to over $5,000,000 in project size. Projects are located generally in Southern Ontario with various assignments located across Canada.

Responsibilities:

This position reports directly to the Senior Mechanical Engineer and will be responsible for their own projects and working with a team consisting of other mechanical engineers and designers. •The Mechanical Engineering role will be to design new and upgrade mechanical systems in the commercial and high rise residential sectors
•Independently complete design projects from concept through to construction review
•Coordinate design activities with others within the office and with Clients
•Meet expectations of the Senior Mechanical Engineer and Client, including the preparation of design drawings, specifications, and reports
•Prepare technical reports, and Client correspondences
•Prepare budget estimates and condition assessments of equipment
•Coordinate work with other disciplines in the office
•Design meetings and site reviews Requirements/Qualifications:

Able to work effectively in a team environment and efficiently handling multiple projects. •University Degree in Mechanical Engineering
•Registered with PEO, with a P.Eng. designation
•Minimum 4 years Canadian experience in Mechanical Design
•Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal communication skills)
